My art site is live!

Okay so I finally got my art website up on IndieMade, and it was pretty chill. I used one of their Website Themes, which made it look decent without me doing much. Uploading my paintings to the Image Gallery Builder was easy peasy. Setting up the Physical Product Listings took a minute to figure out, but it's done. My friend told me about it, and yeah, it's working out. No big drama, which is always good.

My shop looks incredible!

I just launched my new e-commerce site with IndieMade, and I am so happy! The E-commerce Website Builder was a dream to use. I picked a beautiful Responsive Design Template, and it looks so professional. Setting up my Digital Product Sales was a breeze, and the Shopping Cart Software works perfectly. I'm already telling all my artist friends they need to switch over. This platform is fantastic for creators!

Solid platform, one small hitch

I recently set up my online store using IndieMade, and for the most part, it's a very capable platform. The E-commerce Website Builder is intuitive, and connecting my Etsy shop with their Etsy Integration was smoother than I expected. The Order Management System works well. My only minor gripe was that the SEO Tools felt a little basic, and I had to do some extra research to optimize things fully. Delivery of the service itself was instant, of course. Overall, good value and I'm satisfied, but the SEO could be stronger.

Consistent service, easy setup

Another solid experience with IndieMade. I set up a new portfolio site for my photography, and just like my previous art shop, it was straightforward. The responsive design templates worked well again, and getting my Custom Domain Hosting sorted was quick. They've been reliable for years, which is why I keep coming back for my different creative projects. It's good to know what you're getting.

Good value with annual plan

As a first-time buyer, I was really focused on getting the most for my money. I signed up for the annual billing to get that 10% discount, which helped. The 30 day free trial was great too, no credit card needed, so I could really kick the tires. I used the Blog Platform and the Image Gallery Builder, and it all felt robust enough for the price I paid. Definitely felt like a good investment for starting my online store without breaking the bank.

Does anyone know if they still have that free trial thing? And if so, do they make you put in credit card details right away?

S Sofia Carter 4 days ago
Yeah, they definitely still have the free trial, I just signed up a couple weeks ago. No credit card needed for the trial, which is awesome.

Can confirm, did the trial last month. It's 30 days and they don't ask for payment info until you decide to stick with it.

What about promo codes? I've seen some mentions online but can't find where to actually use them. Do they even have them often?

A Amanda Green 2 weeks ago
They don't do regular promo codes for new sign-ups usually, it's more for existing users upgrading or special referrals. If you do have one, you'd enter it during the billing setup when you pick your plan.

I got a code once from a partner site, you just punch it in when you're actually signing up for a paid plan, not during the free trial sign-up itself.

Thinking of switching from Etsy to IndieMade for my art shop. Is it really better for artists, or just another platform that says it is?

E Emma Davis 1 week ago
I moved my jewelry shop from Etsy to IndieMade last year. It's way better for branding, you get your own site, which feels more professional. Etsy integration is nice too if you want to keep that going.

Honestly, 'better' depends on what you need. If you want more control over your storefront and less competition with random stuff, yeah, it's good. But Etsy still has a huge built-in audience.

Can I sell digital stuff on IndieMade, like art prints or patterns? Or is it mostly for physical products?

J Justin Baker 1 month ago
Totally! I sell digital brushes and textures through my IndieMade shop. It handles digital downloads just fine.

Yeah, you can do both physical and digital. I have some printable planners and original paintings listed on mine. Works pretty seamlessly.

I'm looking at their plans, seems like monthly is the default. Is there any way to save some money if I commit for longer? Like an annual discount or something?

S Susan Clark 5 days ago
Yup! If you pay for a whole year upfront, you usually get a pretty good discount. I think it worked out to like 10-15% cheaper than paying monthly for my plan.

They definitely do annual discounts. Check their pricing page, it usually shows the breakdown. It's a decent chunk of savings if you know you're gonna use it long-term.
